Welcome to my Genealogy Cafe. This is a place where you can learn and share ideas on UK genealogy research as well as find other people who are interested in this absorbing pastime. I’ve been personally doing genealogy since 1991 and so have a wealth of experience in the basic techniques, both online and offline. I’ve come across some family history research puzzles; some of them I’ve solved and others that I haven’t (yet!). So I’m especially interested in hearing about our own particular dead-ends (often called “brickwalls”), as I’d love to help you solve them. So, once I get this site’s features up and running, I’ll be looking for like-minded people who also love solving these sorts of puzzles. Watch this space – this is just Day 1!
